Can you answer these early Seventies trivia questions?

We’re one week closer to the official start of the 2006 high school football season and just 45 days from the start of football practice. With that in mind, let's get into the football mood with a little local high school football trivia.
This week, the questions all come from the early 1970s. See if you can answer the following questions about high school football in Monroe County from 1970 to 1974.
1. Monroe Academy played its first ever football game on Sept. 4, 1970. Who did they play and what was the result?
2. What MA defensive tackle (and current Monroeville police detective) was named The Journal’s Headhunter of the Week on Sept. 19, 1974 for his performance in an MA win over Glenwood?

1. In the first football game in the school’s history, MA beat South Choctaw, 54-0, in Monroeville.
2. Mitch Stuckey, who is currently a lieutenant with the Monroeville Police Department.
3. MCHS’s football practice field was officially named "Reddoch Field" on Sept. 2, 1971 in honor of longtime athletic supporter Joe Reddoch. A ceremony marking the official naming of the field took place at halftime during a 21-14 MCHS win over Flomaton.
4. Calvin Richardson.
5. In the first game ever at "The Pit" in Beatrice, Shields whipped McIntosh, 12-0.
6. Excel eighth-grade defensive tackle Rex McCants received the award even though Elmore County beat Excel, 18-3. The Camellia Bowl, a post-season game, was played on Nov. 20, 1970 in Greenville.
